R.K. Mangal, M.D.

Aspire Fertility Houston

Dr. R.K. Mangal is one of the few physicians in America who has completed fellowship training in both advanced endometriosis surgery and reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI). He is an in vitro fertilization (IVF) specialist and a surgical specialist for endometriosis, pelvic pain and infertility.

Dr. Mangal had an interest in medicine from a young age. He grew up helping out in his father’s veterinary clinic, learning how to do sutures and operations. He went on to receive his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine and later became board certified in both obstetrics and gynecology and reproductive endocrinology and infertility.

“I'll be with you every step of the way. Don't give up hope.”

— R.K. Mangal, MD

When Dr. Mangal was in residency for obstetrics and gynecology, he met a couple who tried to conceive for 15 years. He helped the couple get an appointment with an in vitro fertilization clinic in London and six months later they called to tell him they were pregnant. It was a life changing moment for him that would take him down his path to become a reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist.

Dr. Mangal tells his patients that infertility is a roller coaster ride. “There’s always light at the end of the tunnel,” he says. “We’ll be with you every step of the way. Don’t give up hope.”

Patients from all over the world come to see Dr. Mangal with complex surgical endometriosis. Dr. Mangal treats each patient with individualized care, compassion and understanding throughout the entire process. He makes it a personal goal to be available to his patients.

Dr. Mangal has published numerous articles and medical textbook chapters and teaches surgical techniques to physicians in training.

In addition to patient treatment, Dr. Mangal has served as president for the IDC Charity Clinic and provided free care to those with financial difficulty.
